Breaking: El-Rufai loses elder brother

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has lost his elder brother, retired AVM Aliyu Ahmed El-Rufai.

Daily Trust reports that the late AVM died at the age of 71.

BabaNews gathered that a family source who confirmed the death to the newspaper, said the late AVM died in the early hours of Saturday, January 17, at a hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.

The source said the late AVM is survived by a wife and six children and that his funeral rite would take place at Sultan Muhammad Bello Mosque, Kaduna, after the Assar prayers as arrangements are being made to convey his remains to Kaduna today, January 19.
