Onnoghen’s suspension is dictatorship, coup – Atiku, Saraki

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has described the suspension of Chief Justice of Nigerian (CJN), Walter Onnoghen by President Muhammadu Buhari as an act of dictatorship.

Atiku in a statement yesterday from his media office said the act was anti-democratic and called on Justice Onnoghen and the judiciary to resist it with every legal and constitutional means.

Similarly, Senate President Bukola Saraki said last night that the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria Walter Onnoghen was a coup against democracy and a deliberate attempt to endanger Nigeria’s hard-won democracy.
