The Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec), has fixed March 23 for supplementary elections in six states where elections were declared inconclusive on March 9. The states include Benue, Sokoto, Plateau, Adamawa, Kano and Bauchi.

2. Senate Announces Date For Commencement Of 2019 Budget Debate

Senate President Buko Slaaraki on Tuesday said Nigeria’s upper legislative house would commence debate on the general principles of the country’s 2019 Appropriation Bill on Wednesday. Saraki, who recently lost an election to return to the Senate for the ninth assembly, made the announcement at the plenary on Tuesday, saying the debate would end on 19 March.

3. Buhari Reacts To APC’s Majority Win In Senate

President Muhammadu Buhari says he is happy over the majority of seats the All Progressives Congress (APC) won in the Senate. Buhari stated this on Monday when receiving his old school mates, who came to congratulate him on his re-election for a second term in Daura, Katsina State.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday evening held a meeting with some All Progressives Congress State Governors in Abuja following his return from Daura. The closed-door meeting was held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

5. Governorship Election 2019: How APC, PDP Stand In 22 States Declared By INEC So Far

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, March 9, conducted Governorship election 2019 across 29 out of 36 states across Nigeria and state House of Assembly elections across the country. The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has told his teeming supporters he is confident of emerging victorious in the forthcoming Gubernatorial rerun election in Kano declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
