The judgment delivered by the Federal High Court, Abuja, which annulled the primary election that produced Senator Ayogu Eze as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Enugu State has been set aside by Court of Appeal, Abuja Division. A 3- man panel of the justices of the court of Appeal led by Justice Abdul Aboki, held that the suit at the trial court was filed out of time, as stipulated by the section 285 which ought to be 14 days after the cause of action had taken place, but plaintiff (George Ogara) filed on 13th November.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Jalingo has ordered a stay of execution on the disqualification of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Sani Danladi. Justice Chidi Uwa gave the order on Thursday, a day after the Federal High Court in Jalingo disqualified Danladi from participating in the coming governorship election in the state. He stayed the execution of the order of the lower court following a motion ex-parte filed by Danladi and the APC.

8. Buhari Arrives Daura Ahead Of Governorship Election


Ahead of the Governorship and State Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, March 9, President Muhammadu Buhari arrived his home town in Daura, Katsina on Thursday to perform his civic right.
