The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has urged Nigerians to ignore speculations of impending nationwide petrol scarcity. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has called on the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to join hands with him to develop the state. In a state broadcast to mark the Supreme Court judgment striking out the appeals by the Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, Wike said the state stood to benefit more if all leaders were united.

6. President Buhari Travels To Chad For Security Meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari will on Saturday leave Abuja for N’Djamena, capital of Chad Republic to participate in discussing issues about security. The president will be a part of the Extraordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, CEN-SAD.
